شرح قاعدة unless في اللغة الانجليزية

unless = if not (لو لم)
وتنطبق على جميع حالات if

الحالة الأولى:
unless + مضارع
*عند تحويل الجملة ووضع unless نحذف if والنفي من جملة الشرط

• if you don’t stop eating,You will be sick.
• unless you stop eating,You’ll be sick.
• لو لم توقف الأكل ستمرض

مثال

• If you don’t study diligently, you’ll never understand trigonometry.
• Unless you study diligently, you’ll never understand trigonometry.
• لو لم تذاكر بجد، لن تفهم أبدا حساب المثلثات

الحالة الثانية:
unless + ماضي بسيط

• If he wasn’t very ill, he would be at work.
• Unless he was very ill, he would be at work.
• لو لم يكن مريض، كان سيكون في العمل

مثال

• If I wasn’t really hungry,I wouldn’t eat that food.
• Unless I was really hungry,I wouldn’t eat that food.
• لو لم أكن جوعان، لم أكل هذا الطعام

الحالة الثالثة:
unless + ماضي تام

• If you hadn’t suggested it,I wouldn’t have phoned him.
• Unless you’d suggested it,I wouldn’t have phoned him.
• لو لم تقترح هذا، لما كنت سأتصل به

مثال

• If she hadn’t given them the money,They would have shot her.
• Unless she’d given them the money,They would have shot her.
• لو لم تعطهم المال، لكانوا أطلقوا النار عليها
